Texas A&M Incident: State Trooper's Controversial Actions During Game (2025)

Texas A&M has taken swift action following an incident involving a state trooper and South Carolina players during a recent college football game. The trooper, who made contact with the players, has been relieved of his game-day duties, according to a statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The incident occurred after Nyck Harbor caught an 80-yard touchdown pass late in the second quarter, grabbing his right leg and walking it off up the tunnel, followed by Oscar Adaway III. As they turned to walk back to the field, the trooper bumped into Adaway and wedged between him and Harbor, then turned and pointed at the players, seemingly scolding them. The DPS acknowledged the incident, stating that the involved trooper was sent home from the game and that their Office of Inspector General (OIG) is investigating the matter further. No additional information will be released at this time.
